Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through your authentication provider (Google or GitHub). When you use Quizley, we collect the content you upload (documents, audio, video, and URLs) and the study materials generated from that content.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Quizley service
- Generate study materials from your uploaded content
- Track your learning progress and study statistics
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send important service updates and notifications
- Monitor and improve application performance
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade PostgreSQL databases with row-level security. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage with per-user isolation.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Quizley:
- Stripe -- Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We do not store your credit card information directly.
- Deepgram -- Audio and video transcription. Your media files are sent to Deepgram for processing and are not retained after transcription.
- PostHog -- Product analytics to understand how the service is used and identify areas for improvement. No personally identifiable information is shared.
- Sentry -- Error monitoring to detect and fix issues quickly. Error reports may include technical context but not your study content.
Cookies
Quizley uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand usage patterns. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and download your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your study materials at any time
- Opt out of non-essential analytics
